West Ham United booked their place into the Second Round of this season’s UEFA Europa League with a comfortable 2-0 win in Austria on Thursday night.
A draw would have been enough for David Moyes’ side but goals from Andriy Yarmolenko and a Mark Noble penalty at the end of the first half gave the English Premier League side a comfortable win away to Rapid Vienna.
The Scottish manager made a number of changes from the side that were beaten at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League over the weekend, including Alphonse Areola, Nikola Vlasic, Manuel Lanzini, Issa Diop and the two goalscorers coming into the starting XI.
West Ham fans can expect an even greater rotated squad in two weeks’ time when they host Dinamo Zagreb in their final Group F game having already confirmed top spot with 13 points from a possible 15.
